MAKING MEMORIES IN MY HEART #10 : GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP
I
asked myself… why on earth did we ever become friends? A frustrating question
I’m trying to answer but my memory fails to remember such reason. Another
question struck me: How long we will be friends? Well, I don’t really know.
Perhaps, as long as you remembers me and vice versa. A second thought flashes
in my mind. So if that’s the case, we will be friends until our memory were
over? How sad human nature can be. Well… sadly but true. Now, if it is based on
that logic, then, how can I improved my memory so that the very thought of you
will last longer in my cerebellum? (Think! Think! Think!). Poof! It became coco
crunch! :] With the fact that I am making this entry, is this not one of those
ways? Haha… They say small things matter. I don’t know if this matters to you
but it does matter to me.
I
have read a story and I don’t know if you already know this but still I want to
share it with you. The story is found below.
THE SHIP OF FRIENDSHIP
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two
of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.
The two survivors who have been a good friends, not knowing what
else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However,
to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory
between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the
first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to
eat its fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray
for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a
woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there
was nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The
next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man
still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his
wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side
of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to
leave the second man on the island.
He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings,
since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from
heaven booming, “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”
“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for
them,” the first man answered. “His prayers were all unanswered and so he does
not deserve anything.”
“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one
prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of
my blessings.”
“Tell me,” the first man asked the voice, “What did he pray for
that I should owe him anything?”
“He prayed that all your prayers be answered “

Did
you liked it? Sometimes, all we know is that the blessings we have received
were from our prayers alone. But, that’s the power of having others to pray for
you as well. Yes, we may not know who sincerely prayed for us. It’s beyond our
capacity. Only God knows. Despite of that, the feeling that you’re not narrow-minded
assuring something is for your own sake but open for others’ prayer request
enables you to be satisfied giving you a one-of-a-kind selflessness. Now, you
may not see your dearest friends doing sweet things for you like being unable
to see them and spend time with them like before but what if they’re making it
all up through prayers? Whatever is bothering your heart, you’re just a prayer away
to God. It made us do the basic of life where humbleness abounds. So, value your friends and don’t let your
emotions control over your mind. God gave you brain. Use it wisely, for good.
Have faith and Trust in the Lord with all your heart. In all your ways
acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.

Highlighter, why?
Figuratively
speaking, it is that you marked my life in “nneychan’s way only”. Like a
highlighter is used to emphasize good points in a book, you make me see clearer
some capabilities of mine wherein I used not to give attention to before. It’s learning
on my part and whenever I’m with you, I’m subject to it.
Practically
speaking, it is because I think you need this. It will be of use to you since
you have your new hobby now --- reading. Well, I suppose to give it to you the
morning before you woke up… sad to note.. I was in deep slumber and poof! Una
paka nakamata sa akua.. wa na nako nabutang. Hehe..
Heartily
speaking, you are special and important to me that’s why I want to give you
something which is “part-of-the-me”. Reading and writing has been one of my
companions all these years and I think it would ring a bell to your heart if I
would give you this. I hope you’ll like it. It might not be expensive but I
assure you, it is “hypothalamously” given. I love you with the love of the
Lord.
A SONG IN MY MIND
Oh
diba. Talented? Hahah Praise be to God! Anyway.. dala sa akung tripping.. I
decided to dedicate this song to you. It is entitled “I can see the Light”. Na
play ni na song sa movie nga “Tangled”. Haha.. gapaila nga mahilig kog
Barbie/barbie-like movies. Pasenxa sa voice. I may not sound as beautiful sa
singers do but atleast heartily nako ni nga e post para sa imuha.. haha grabe
nah.. bitaw.. okey ra.. dalawang dekada kanang nabubuhay. Okey lang mag effort
din pag may time.. haha bitaw. Enjoy listening.
HAPPY

HYPOTHYROIDISM! we met again
I was reading a book entitled Your Brain and Body Answer Book and we met again...
hello ... HYPOTHYROIDISM! I have found out some points about you.
It says here if a patient is diagnosed to have you, there are consequences. One of which struck me is this, "The patient would experience brain-fog or inability of the brain to function well along with it is depression and fatigue. If isn't controlled it can greatly affect one's emotions and behavior." Unluckily it says here, there's no cure for you (pakikisamahan ka nalang ng taong nagkakasakit dahil sayo, habang buhay). Well, yeah! I know that... I was just reminded by it again.
Well, kudos! You can have a good catch out there. But do you know what surprised me most? These lines:
"Earlier research showed that women with only mild hypothyroidism were almost twice as likely as women without this condition to have blockages in their aorta. They were also twice as likely to have a history of heart attacks. A review of thousand people with under active thyroids without symptoms showed 65 percent had an increased risk of heart disease. New evidence suggests AS YOUR THYROID SLOWS DOWN, YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL LEVELS RISE."
...ang galing mo naman firend... silent killer lang ang peg?
